- it’s clear what the items are
- you only leave out the items you’ve arranged to be collected
If you can’t put the items outside, let us know. We may be able to collect them from inside your home - but you, or another adult, must be present to sign a disclaimer in case of any accidental damage.
Cancel your collection

We can’t give you a refund if you call less than two working days before, or if we get there and we can’t collect your items - for example if we can’t get to them or if they’re wet, dirty or stained.

What happens to your items
They’re collected by Changing Lives in Warrington, a charity which gives employment, training and development opportunities to local people. They reuse and recycle your pre-loved furniture and electrical goods.
Other ways to get rid of large items
Donate to a local charity shop
Some local charities will come and pick up your items for free, and sell them at affordable prices in their community shop.
Take them to a recycling centre
It’s free to take them to a community recycling centre, but before you go please check what items you can take to each centre, and whether you need a permit.
Give them away online
List them on a recycling website, app or facebook group.
Use a private company
There are other companies who can get rid of items for you. It’s up to you to make sure they are licensed. Check the register of waste carriers, brokers and dealers on the Environment Agency website. If someone dumps or flytips your items illegally, you could be prosecuted.
Ask the retailer to dispose of it
If you’ve bought a new electrical item to replace an old one, the company you bought it from must provide a way for you to get rid of the old one, even if you didn’t buy it from them originally. Contact them directly and ask about their ‘take back’ service.
