The closing date to apply for your child to start Reception Class in September 2020 has now passed.

All applications submitted on or before the closing date of 16 January 2020 will be dealt with at the same time. (Please note the closing date was extended from 15 January to 16 January as the Citizen portal had been unavailable on Monday 13 January due to essential maintenance being carried out).  

Any applications received after 16 January 2020 will be classed as late and will only be processed after those which were received on time, unless the child has changed address or has recently been taken into care. For more information please refer to the booklet

Supplementary forms

Please be aware that if any of your preferences are for a faith school, then you must complete the individuals school's own supplementary form as well as the online application form. These supplementary forms are used by the schools, to provide them with relevant information to help them decide the correct over-subscription criteria that your child falls under. Supplementary forms are also available from the individual schools. Completed forms should be returned directly to the school.

Verifying information

If you wish your child’s application to be considered under the Child in Care criterion or in accordance with the medical/social criterion, then verifying information in support of your application must be provided at the time you apply. The information should be scanned and emailed to the School Admissions Team.

If your child was formerly in care, a copy of the Adoption Certificate, Child Arrangement Order or Special Guardianship Order must be provided in order to be considered against this criterion.

If you would like your application to be considered against a medical/social criterion, you should provide supporting evidence from a registered professional, such as a Medical Practitioner, Psychologist or Social Worker, which sets out the particular reasons why the school in question is the most suitable school for your child.

Offer information

Offers are communicated to all on time applicants via email, unless you have expressed a preference to be informed via post instead. If you do opt to be informed by post, letters will be sent out by second class post on 16 April 2020, so parents/carers should allow time for postage.

If you have opted to receive the offer information via email the information will be sent to the email address (which you provided on the online application form) from 10:00 am on 16 April 2020.
