Traffic and travel - Coronavirus update
Buses in Warrington
Bus companies in Warrington are operating reduced services, but are committed to maintaining essential journeys for key workers, vulnerable people and those who have an essential need to travel.
You can find more information about the reduced bus services with:
Services are being maintained for those who are defined as key workers and those who have an essential need to travel. The government guidance, however, is absolutely clear – that you should only travel if absolutely essential and that if possible you should remain at home.
Pre-9.30am travel restrictions
Pre-9.30am travel restrictions for Cheshire concessionary pass holders have also been lifted to allow those who have an essential need to travel can do so. This is in line with the decision from some supermarkets to allow protected shopping hours to elderly or vulnerable people.
Further service revisions may be required in line with government advice on social distancing. If you need to travel, please follow the national guidance and try and stay at least two metres away from other people if possible. If you have hand sanitiser please take it with you on your journey.
We also ask that you use cash alternatives to travel wherever possible. This could mean paying via Touch and Go app or contactless card (available on several services).
Bus passes Renewals / Lost or stolen
You will be unable to renew you bus pass until further notice and all Cheshire bus operators are allowing passengers to travel free of charge at any time by showing an eligible or recently expired pass.
You can still apply for a bus pass by downloading the application form from our website. Please provide your supporting documents as normal and we will arrange for eligible persons passes to be printed when the service becomes available again.
We are unable to replace your lost/stolen/damaged pass at this time. If you chose to, you can still apply for your replacement and pay your £10 fee and we will arrange for your pass to be printed when the service becomes available again
Time Square car park
Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the decision has been taken to reduce the opening hours of Time Square multi-storey car park. We will be opening the car park between 7am to 9pm Monday to Saturday instead of 24 hours and the car park will be closed on Sundays until further notice.
