There are a number of ways that we can reduce are fuel bills and make our homes more energy efficient.

Moving into a home with a Green Deal

If you are moving into a home with a Green Deal the owner or landlord must provide you with relevant information.  A home with a Green Deal will have had energy-saving improvements, to help make it more energy efficient, but as the new occupier of the home you’ll need to make the repayments for the improvements through the electricity bill.

Energy Company Obligation

Households on benefits or low incomes and those who live in older properties, may qualify for extra financial assistance. The Energy Companies Obligation scheme, funded by energy suppliers aims to reduce energy consumption. Their quick guide provides you with more information and how you can find out if you may be eligible.
